As Disciples, we come together each week, to gain strength from our weaknesses, to lean on each other, learn from each other and share the communion that is our common bond with each other.
Far from perfect, whether we are young or old, we struggle with sin and life in a world that some days is impossible to figure out just like you, and everyone else. We have found though, that in sharing our struggle with each other, learning the ways and teachings of the original Disciples, we can find comfort in Jesus' words for us, and strength every time we look across the room and see one of our neighbors standing with us.
On your first visit, or you've been so many times you've lost count, we're happy to be called the friendliest church in town. We hope you'll find hope and comfort in our blend of the traditional service, you may have grown up in, and a more contemporary approach that talks about and deals with the problems in our everyday life and offers real solutions.
If you haven't been to a service in a while, we know it's a little intimidating to stop in that first time. Just know that everyone at the service did it and hasn't forgotten that feeling. We'll greet you at the door and help you find a seat and then let you enjoy hearing God's word. If you have any questions, feel free to grab Pastor or anyone after the service, because we all like to share the Good News about First Christian.
We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us.
